The Jewish Wedding Now, Anita Diamant 2017
Having been humbled and honored by being asked to be the officiant at a wedding this summer in Maine, I decided that I’d better get up to speed on the whole wedding business. I had recently been present at the beautiful weddings of both of my daughters, but since all I had to do was recite the Shehechyanu and not fall over during the ceremony, I had not focused on the nuts and bolts of the actual wedding. Not any more! This is a fine book by a Boston based writer and provides explanations and examples of the basic elements of a Jewish wedding from the Katubah to the Seven Blessings. An excellent resource for any officiant, including this one who is now a fully ordained minister in the Universal Life Church.
