Rosen is a 65 year old conceptual artist from Corpus Christi, TX and Gary, IN who sees the ‘signified’ rather than the ‘signifiers’ when she looks at letters and words. She uses the six elements of color, rules, letterforms, systems/pattern, graphics, and sound to develop clever and often hilarious juxtapositions replete with double meanings.  Reading and seeing combine into a pictorial experience with meta-meaning.  Wonderful stuff.
