Essays After Eighty, Donald Hall, 2014

Another treat beyond words.  Hall, the Poet Laureate in 2006 and my pen pal for more than 45 years, has not lost his language proficiency, sharp wit, or sense of humor despite recently turning 85.  In a number of superb essays, he muses on the aging process contrasting his mental facilities with the severe decline in physical capability.  His brief essays brought forth tears, laughter, and warm affection for this man of letters in Wilmot, New Hampshire.
