A New York Times writer, Klinkenborg lives in Columbia County, NY and writes about his rural experiences there on a monthly cycle as well as about his time in Wyoming and Montana.  Lyrical vignettes of open space, woods, animals, chores, and the quiet peace of the countryside. Very readable and a good book to curl up with by the wood stove in the winter.
