A 24 hour read, Jack Reacher story that is the usual classic story filled with twists, turns, and the painful elimination of many bad guys as Reacher works with another lovely young woman to defeat evil.  In this case, Reacher is drawn in by an ad in the Army Times by an old officer to whom he owes a favor. The result is that Reacher and Miss Nice of the CIA/State Department are off to Paris and London to try to prevent a sharpshooter assassin from killing off a good portion of the G8.  Reacher defeats the assassin, kills a good portion of London’s bad guys, and then returns to North Carolina where he confronts General O’Day who had set up the whole sham operation as a way of reasserting his authority in intelligence work.  Jack is splendid in all of this!
