How to Walk, Thich Nhat Hanh, 2015

In this slim volume, Hanh, one of the leading writers and teachers of Zen today, focuses on how to walk with mindfulness.  Observing that most walking today is done hurriedly and with the mind racing at top speed about ‘things to do and places to go’, Hanh urges a quiet mindful walk synchronized with the breath, focused on placing our body on the earth and taking pleasure in its beauty.  Another fine contribution to the mindfulness literature but not one that I am convinced I can adopt as I rush back and forth to Harvard Square.
