Poetry Tree
In April, 2014 I attached a poem by Robert Frost to a limb of a cherry tree on the bank of the Charles River in Cambridge not far from our home. Since then, I’ve posted more than 30 poems on what has come to be known as The Poetry Tree, and when the poems haven’t been removed by the Commonwealth’s Department of Conservation and Recreation, they have provided diversion, entertainment, and insight to hundreds of pedestrians, joggers, bikers, and others strolling along the River’s edge. It’s been a delight for me to sit on a bench along the Charles and watch people stop to read the poems. You can read the poems that I’ve posted by clicking Poetry On the Charles below which will take you to the site.
