Glorious Slow Going: Maine Stories of Art, Adventure, and Friendship, Marguerite Robichaux and Elizabeth Peavy, 2011
Published by the Pucker Gallery where Robichaux exhibits her oils and watercolors and using the well-trod trope of the seasons, the authors narrate their trips around their well-loved state and illustrate them with reproductions of watercolors and oil paintings (including some wonderful tryptichs). Robichaux’s art is more my favorite than Peavey’s prose, but it’s all good and quite lovely. Would love to visit some of the sites mentioned.
