Guido Brunetti at his most charming and literate solves a complicated case that begins with the theft of maps and rare books from a library in Venice and ends with the murder of a defrocked priest who is known as Tertullian since he reads that Church father and others in Latin at the library.  Brunetti’s charming wife, Paola, and his in-laws have cameo roles.  This is a series that is beginning to grow on me and inspiring an interest in visiting Venice.
