Jack Reacher to the rescue again! This time he is picked up while hitchhiking at a Nebraska Interstate ramp by, of all things, two murderers and a carjacked cocktail waitress, except one of the murderers and the waitress are undercover FBI agents, but the murderer one doesn’t know the waitress is. Get it? The only Reacher book in which Jack doesn’t sleep with one of the female “good guys” but otherwise very predictable. The bad guys are a combo of Syrian and U.S. white supremacist terrorists with a banking operation in an old missile bunker outside Kansas City. In the finale, Reacher single-handedly shoots 22 bad guys and is finally saved by the waitress who gets the last two before Jack goes back to the Interstate for his next ride. Oy vey!
