A one day read of a fast-paced, slickly written and credible detective story. Elvis Cole, PI in LA, and his partner, Joe Pike, who are lured by Hollywood director and chief bad guy, Peter Alan Nelson to find his ex-wife and son who left his life 10 years earlier.  Cole finds her in suburban Connecticut but gets deeply involved with the Mob, money laundering, drugs, etc and an internecine struggle.  Much shooting ensues and bodies pile up, but all ends happily.  Worth reading more of Elvis Cole.
